our CREDENTIALS
We bring to the market the following array of qualifications:
- Over 25 years Canadian and 10 years overseas structural engineering experience;
- A PhD degree in Structural Engineering, backed with over 35 published original research papers on topics of practical significance;
- P.Eng. registration in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and BC; eligible to register in any province or territory in Canada;
- Experience as a Subject Matter Expert, Senior and Principal Engineer, and structural Discipline Lead on major projects in oil and gas industry in Western Canada;
- Experience in buildings design (industrial and commercial), varied heavy industrial design, renewable energy (solar power), and civil design;
- Strong background in steel, concrete, masonry, aluminum, and wood construction;
- In-depth knowledge of Canadian structural design codes and standards;
- Practical knowledge of FEM analysis and a variety of structural design software;
- Solid knowledge of soil mechanics and foundations engineering, including soil dynamics, earth pressure theories, pile foundations etc;
- Over 10 years experience teaching engineering seminars to practitioners;
- Sound knowledge of engineering law and statute; experience in dispute resolution and claims;
- Ability to do our own design and drawing development - we have a skilled Structural Designer on duty with 20 years Canadian industrial design and drafting experience; served as a Drafting Lead on major oil and gas and power transmission projects in Western Canada.
